On December 8th, SOV (Search for Outstanding Volunteers) Awarding Ceremony was held.
This year’s awardees are below.
Individual Youth category
EFREN G. PEÑAFLORIDA, JR.
In recognition of his outstanding volunteer work as a youth leader and an advocate for the education and protection of disadvantaged children and youths, thereby preparing them to become productive and responsible citizens.
MARK AETHEN G. AGANA
In recognition of his outstanding volunteer work as a youth leader and mentor to public high school students in the fields of Mathematics, Science and English, enabling them to access quality higher education for personal and professional development.
CARLITO C. AMALLA
In recognition of his outstanding volunteer work as a youth leader, particularly in boosting the morale of his own Manobo Tribe, as he help them realize their talents and potentials in theatrical and visual arts performance, thereby serving as model and inspiration to indigenous communities.
Individual Adult category
FLORENTINA S. VIGILIA-BLANDO
In recognition of her outstanding volunteer work and leadership in environment, education, health and socio-economic livelihood, dedicated to the welfare of the elderly, Persons with Disabilities and other less privileged members of society.
ISABEL COJUANGCO SUNTAY
In recognition of her outstanding volunteer work and active involvement in livelihood projects and activities in her community, and care and concern to improve the living conditions of those who have less in life.
ZENAIDA V. ROTEA, M.D.
In recognition of her outstanding volunteer work in the advancement and empowerment of women in relation to women’s human rights, poverty, violence against women and other areas that concern women and children.
GERRY DUWIN A. DELA ZERNA
In recognition of his outstanding volunteer work, especially his strategic leadership in the promotion of welfare of children with disabilities, preparation and training of volunteers.
